Job Summary

Here at Frankle Facial Plastic Surgery our goal is to provide the highest quality in patient care within an aesthetic environment that exceeds patient expectations. We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse who is capable of multitasking in different roles within our facility: Clinic/ Circulating / Pre-OP / PACU/ SCRUB. This is a Full-Time position. Schedule would be Monday - Friday (4-5 days a week). OR experience preferred but will train the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties

OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that the surgical room is sterile and safe for the patient
• Help maintain the sterile field in the operating room
• Assist surgeon and scrubs during surgeries
• Prepare the patient for the procedure and handles the preparation for the operating room
• Assess the patient’s condition before the surgical procedure
• Assess the needs of the patient during the procedure

PRE-OP RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide patient education during all phases of the patient’s experience at the Center
• Prepare for arrival of patients to the Center by ensuring all proper supplies and equipment are available
• Review the patient chart and health history to assure that the necessary pre-operative evaluations have been completed and ensure that all consent forms have been signed.
• Admit and prepare patients for surgery, provide on-going information to the patient and his/her caregiver to assure that they understand all procedures and feel as comfortable as possible
• Communicate with other health care team members to assure continuity of care

PACU RESPONSIBILIES:

• Provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Initiate patient education to ensure that both patients and families are educated on procedures and medications.
• Observe and assists with patient recovery after procedures, ensuring patient safety prior to discharge.
• Explain post-operative instructions to patients, ensuring they are prepared and understand in-home, post-operative care.

Clinic Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Registered Nurse
• Minimum of one year experience in surgical office, ASC, or hospital setting

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Exceptional verbal and written communication
• Works well with co-workers
• Is friendly and compassionate with patients
• Takes initiative to solve problems and complete projects

Experience:

• Nursing: 2 years
• Scrub Experience Preferred ( Not Required )
• Plastic Surgery experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
