Currently, we are looking for a seasoned production/sourcing manager, preferably someone with skills within industries where product testing, strict package labeling and/or warnings are required to meet US requirements. Such industries include but are not limited to, the toy industry, health and wellness, or cosmetics industry. Candidate should have the organizational skills to manage hundreds of skus.

-Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is a must and knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage production timeline and shipping logistics for customer accounts.
• Establish/maintain good relationships with factories. Daily correspondence with factories via email as well as virtual meetings (Teams/Zoom calls) which can occur at night in the US (morning overseas)
• Source/Negotiate first cost with factories to maximize profit margin, provide landed cost and timeline to sales managers to confirm sales
• Track shipments and notify sales representatives when goods will be able to be shipped
• Create, revise and maintain POs and provide packing and shipping instructions to factories
• Communicate with sales department to ensure buyer satisfaction and resolve issues to mutual satisfaction
• Monitor & ensure on-time delivery, work closely with overseas factories to resolve all issues/problems
• Anticipate and take action to prevent production problems and delays.
• Confirm booking ETD/ETA, analysis of deliveries
• Weekly WIP tracking
• Advise lab test protocol to factories, ensure all goods passed lab tests before shipment to buyers, review lab test failure and inspection failure reports; create and carry out corrective action plans to remedy
• Collaborate with product development team and sales to source or select factories based on their performance and capabilities, negotiate preferable terms, request evaluation samples and place orders
• Coordinate review of pre-production and production samples with designers, sales, buyers
• Oversee quality of materials, manufacturing processes, and finished products
• Communicate regularly with all factories to request/review open order reports, discuss open issues, and provide direction on resolving problems.
• Participate in management meetings to develop retailer-specific strategies, allocate budgets, and set sales goals
• Follow up on orders through delivery; collaborate with Hong Kong office on proper procedures to supervise factories
• Approve booking for orders to ship from China by vessel
• Anticipate and resolve customer complaints regarding quality or delivery

- Create/implement comprehensive process chart to improve efficiency from sourcing through delivery

-Create SOP’s for all factories from pre-production sample making to final delivery

Please note this position has the flexibility to be remote or hybrid. Currently, we are working on a hybrid schedule, working 3 days a week in the office and 2 days remotely. We are open to a fully remote position if candidate is not within a short driving distance to our office (on Long Island).
