The Merchandise Lead oversees and takes ownership of the sales performance and visual standards of assigned departments within the store. Works on the sales floor before, during, and after store hours when necessary. Ensures that all assigned departments are always neat, clean, organized, and marketing/merchandising standards are executed to company standards on a consistent basis.
Supports the execution of merchandise presentation plans and priorities for assigned departments.
Ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers and maintaining a clean and organized store during all hours of operation.
Participates in department walks with managers to identify strengths and opportunities.
Leads execution of short-term action plans within departments in support in long term store strategies.
Ensure service and merchandising standards are always met throughout departments.
Supports a store environment that builds customer loyalty.
Serves as an example of how customers should be treated by modeling excellent customer service standards at all times.
Partners with leadership team to support Asset Protection knowledge, execution, and awareness.
Drives sales and department performance through merchandising, marketing, and overall organization.
Support effective teaching, motivating, feedback, and recognition of associates.
Provides honest feedback to the managers regarding associates.
Serves as a mentor to new crew members.
Models respect and professional behaviors in all interactions with associates, management, and external customers.
Owns product, marketing, and cleanliness standards for assigned departments, and maintains awareness of overall store cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.
Collaborates with all leaders to ensure markdowns are executed properly and remerchandised to standard.
Collaborates with all leaders to ensure processed product is merchandised timely within their department.
Identifies merchandising successes and opportunities and communicates suggestions and solutions to the Managers.
Communicates effectively with associates and managers to ensure all processes flow properly.
This position requires open availability to work a variety of shifts each day of the week and weekend. Most shifts are during the day.
