Job DescriptionFreeport Park District is seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee the day-to-day activities for parks maintenance. To be a successful Parks Maintenance Supervisor, you should have knowledge of personnel management, landscape construction, landscape management, turf care, and athletic field maintenance. The Parks Maintenance Supervisor should also have excellent communication skills, the ability to work under minimal supervision, and the ability to train employees.
On a daily basis, the Park Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising personnel doing vehicle & equipment maintenance, grounds maintenance, landscaping, trail maintenance, turf care, and athletic fields. The Park Maintenance Supervisor may also be called on to manage construction projects that are outsourced or in-house.
