Quick SWPPP is Hiring a Storm Water Inspector Near Santa Rosa, CA

-Qualified SWPPP Practitioner:
As a Quick SWPPP Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP), your primary focus will be to visit various construction sites throughout the Greater Bay Area to complete site observations and reports relating to Stormwater and Non-Stormwater compliance. The candidate should be versed in the operation of basic computer using Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Google Workplace. To be successful at this position , you must be a highly motivated individual that wants to be part of a small business venture with a start-up culture. This part time position is compensated hourly based on experience. 10-25 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, review, and ultimately pass an in house test on construction Best Management Practices (BMPs)
  • Must meet company defined, pre-employment alcohol/drug screen
  • Must possess proper clothing for work outdoors in all weather
  • Some high school/college or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Google Workplace
  • Must be familiar with Adobe Acrobat Pro and PDF document manipulation
  • Valid driver's license with safe and reliable means of vehicle transportation
  • Must own personal functioning and reliable cell phone

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct construction site inspections (visual and photographic) relating to Storm Water Pollution Prevention plans and BMP’s and prepare QSP reports.
  • Conduct field samples for both turbidity and pH of stormwater during rain events
  • Create weekly/pre-storm/storm event reports per template provided
  • Field labor for installation of storm water pollution prevention measures and site maintenance of landscaped areas.
  • Communicate with clients verbally and email with reports/documents findings.
  • Help with shipping/filing and other miscellaneous office tasks when not in the field.

Successful Candidates Should Have/Be:

  • Enthusiastic and motivated for construction and environmental field
  • Ability to work in constant collaboration with our small team
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and implement them effectively with minimal supervision
  • Detail oriented & organized
  • Ability and willing to work in either cold/wet/windy as well as hot/dry weather outdoors
  • Knowledge of general construction, and underground construction of utilities and ability to read Construction Documents
  • Interest and ability to obtain QSP certification in near future
