Position: HVAC Technician - Customer Service Oriented

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks for heating and cooling systems with precision and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose heating and cooling system issues accurately, offering effective solutions to customers.
  • Schedule and prioritize service calls based on customer needs and appointment availability.
  • Interact professionally with customers, actively listening to their concerns, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the service process.
  • Provide transparent estimates for HVAC services, clearly explaining all work to be performed, associated costs, and any additional recommendations to the client.
  • Utilize technology and company tools to manage service orders, track inventory, and maintain customer records.
  • Coordinate with the customer service team to streamline appointment scheduling, follow-up on service requests, and ensure prompt issue resolution.
  • Uphold safety standards and industry regulations, adhering to all codes and guidelines while performing HVAC services.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies, industry trends, and best practices to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, representing Upstate Energy's commitment to excellence in all customer interactions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a heating and cooling technician, with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or relevant trade license is preferred.
  • Extensive technical knowledge and expertise in heating and cooling systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with diverse clients.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to think on your feet to address unexpected challenges.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely completion of service tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform manual labor as required.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate customer needs.
  • Commitment to upholding safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.

Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
