Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bill of Material Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and experience working with bill of materials (BOMs) in a manufacturing or production setting. As a Bill of Material Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production operations run smoothly and efficiently by accurately maintaining and updating our BOMs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain BOMs for all products, including raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, purchasing, and quality control, to gather all necessary information and ensure BOM accuracy.
  • Regularly review and update BOMs to reflect any changes in materials, processes, or specifications.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reconcile any discrepancies between BOMs and physical stock.
  • Work closely with suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and lead times for materials.
  • Identify and resolve any BOM-related issues that may arise during the production process.
  • Utilize our ERP system to manage BOMs and track materials.
  • Participate in product development meetings to provide feedback on BOM feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Actively seek out opportunities to streamline BOM processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a BOM-focused role in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and materials planning.
  • Experience with ERP systems and BOM management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
