The Callaway County Clerk's office is accepting applications for a temporary, part-time Election Clerk. The hourly rate for this position is $15.00 per hour with no benefits.

In a typical week, this position would not work more than 16 hours (two 8-hour days per week). However, within six weeks prior to any election, this position may need to work up to 40 hours per week until the election is over.

The job duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

- Receiving voter registration cards, determining the appropriate district number and voting precinct, and entering information into the state database.
- Generating new voter registration cards and mailing them out.
- Receives felony reports from Circuit Court and State of Missouri; removes felons from voter registration list.
- Receives death reports from Health Department; removes deceased individuals from voter registration list.
- Mails absentee ballots to military and other citizens, assuring for accuracy and timeliness.
- Answering phones and assisting callers.
- Greeting citizens that visit the Callaway County Clerk's office; answering questions and providing information, as needed.
- Provides assistance and/or coverage in other functions of the Callaway County Clerk's office, as needed.
