SUMMARY : Responsible for getting online customers into the dealership for a test
drive. Monitor sales leads assigned to them and maintain detailed customer files. Have
strong sales skills and be knowledgeable about the product details.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned to meet business needs.
Conducts vehicle test drives and ensures all speed limits all other rules of the road
are followed.
Demonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features;
taking test drives; comparing and contrasting competitive models; and explaining
warranties and services.
Helps customers with vehicle selection and promotes model options and features,
value-add products and services, and purchase and finance options following
dealership policies.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience in automotive sales, is a
plus.Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time
management skills & working knowledge of computers. Self motivated with the ability to
set and achieve targeted goals. Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in
your state of residence
Education and/or Experience : High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience in
automotive sales position. One year plus experience in a sales role at a dealership.
Knowledge / Technical Skills: Meeting Sales Goals, Motivation for Sales, Selling to
Customer Needs, Financial Skills, Documentation Skills, Scheduling, Telephone Skills,
Listening, Verbal Communication, Customer Focus, Job Knowledge, CRM Knowledge.
Extensive knowledge of a variety of makes and models.
Customer Service Skills : Politeness, confidence, tact, patience and diplomacy while
dealing with complex and confidential situations. Excellent communication skills and the
ability to deal effectively across all levels of the business organization are necessary.
Problem solving skills. Ability to maintain a professional and courteous relationship with
all customers, management, co-workers, and subordinates.
