Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Talent Manager to join our team. As a Talent Manager, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and developing the skills and potential of individuals in our organization. You will be responsible for identifying and fostering the unique strengths of each team member, providing personalized guidance, and implementing strategies to help them reach their full potential. Your primary objective will be to support and help architects and other professionals within the firm to navigate their career paths, set goals, develop skills and overcome challenges for their professional growth, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute effectively to the organization's success.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and propose enhancements to the onboarding process with internal partners to support the successful integration of new employees into the firm at all levels.
  • Design, propose, and implement personalized individual development plans to leverage strengths and address areas of improvement, setting clear and attainable goals, and incorporating career planning, leadership, soft skills, feedback, and engagement.
  • Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with employees to assess and understand their strengths, weaknesses, gaps in their development, and career aspirations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Operations, Learning and Development, and Team leadership to identify and create learning plans and long-term development plans that enhance the growth of our staff and address developmental needs.
  • Be a resource for staff to connect them with resources and advice when specific issues arise.
  • Work with internal leaders to identify development opportunities for team members.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify high-potential employees and develop tailored programs to train them for future leadership roles.
  • Assist in setting performance goals and objectives, provide feedback on performance in collaboration with project and/or team leadership, and support employees in addressing any performance gaps.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and self-improvement within the organization, encouraging employees to take ownership of their development.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, best practices, and advancements in talent development to continuously improve methodologies.
  • Invest in self-development by remaining current with new developments, technologies, industry trends, and innovations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements For Success:
  • Proven experience as a Talent Coach, Career Development Specialist, or similar role, with a track record of successful employee development and coaching.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building trust and rapport with employees at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of various learning styles and motivational techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to tailor development approaches to suit individual needs.
  • Knowledge of performance management and career development processes.
  • Adept at providing constructive feedback and setting development goals.
  • A genuine passion for helping individuals grow, develop, and achieve their potential. Enthusiasm for employee development is contagious and can inspire others to embrace their own growth.
  • Open to innovation and adaptive to changing organizational needs and development methodologies.
  • Knowledgeable of current trends and open to incorporating new techniques to improve outcomes.
  • Highly empathetic and patient, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple development plans simultaneously.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and composure in stressful situations.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic and complex environment, meeting deadlines and successfully managing the daily workload.
  • Exceptional judgment, flexibility, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a change agent and effectively drive new initiatives in partnership with other firm departments.
  • Ability to work in a creative, entrepreneurial environment promoting creativity and curiosity.

  • Highly organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and ability to establish credibility, build trust, and develop positive working relationships with team members, firm leadership, lawyers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work after hours, as needed.
  • Ability to travel to other offices and events, as needed.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Design (architecture, landscape architecture, graphic design, interior design) or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Coaching Certification is a plus. A commitment to professional development, continuous life-long learning and adherence to ethical coaching practices.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years in talent development and coaching preferably in an Architectural, Design or Architectural and Engineering firm or professional services organization.
  • Leadership Development Background: Previous experience in leadership development or mentoring high-potential employees is beneficial.
