The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Legislative Aide! In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide specialized administrative and analytical support to the Mayor and/or Councilmember as it relates to legislative tracking, development, and analysis.See the full job class specification here: https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/berkeley/classspecs/105948 A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is coursework in political science, public policy, business administration, public administration, or a related field desirable. Experience performing progressively responsible and complex administrative duties supporting an elected official desirable. Other requirements include being able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities. When driving on City business, the incumbent is required to maintain a valid California driver’s license as well as a satisfactory driving record.
