GRANTS PROJECT MANAGER
Reports to: Grants Manager Status: Regular, Full-time, ExemptLocation: Anchorage, AK
JOB SUMMARY: Aleuts Grants Project Manager manages large scale grant projects to ensure that Aleut and subsidiaries receives maximum benefits from grants that are consistent with Aleut’s values, goals, and mission.
Oversee projects that include a highly complex nature and responsible for execution of deliverables during all phases of the grants project life cycle: initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Embraces the mission and vision of Aleut.
• Leads the project team and team members to effectively coordinate the activities of the project.
• Communicates with management regarding status of specific projects.
• Serves as the project manager of grant-funded projects.
• Leads internal and external teams of grants program to ensure timely, accurate and cost – effective execution of grant awards and close outs.
• Monitors project scope, timeline and budgets and provides feedback to project teams as needed for successful completion. Projects will be primarily grant funded, and as such the project manager will maintain responsibility for appropriate use of programmatic funds within the parameters of the grant(s).
• Responsible for accurate and on-time grant reporting to management and the grant making organizations as required.
• Partners with finance to provide budget needed for preparation and management of grants program applications and execution budgets.
• In collaboration with the General Counsel and Grants Manager, ensures compliance with all applicable grant regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Assures the complete, accurate, and timely grant information is available when requested.
• Maintain grant files and information, to include receiving, submitting, recording, and filing all communications with the grant making agency.
• Manages the implementation and close out of grants through collaboration with appropriate employees.
• Develop a tracking system for grant budgets and narrative reporting.
• Monitors progress, identifying solutions when problems arise and keeping respective management informed of any issues.
• Monitors, interprets, assesses, and identifies grant compliance risks to the organization and advises management accordingly.
• Works with finance department for accurate tracking and reconciliation of grant funds.
• Coordinates with relevant vendors to ensure appropriate bid process is followed and assists with project execution.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
• Proficiency with office computer equipment and software.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors Degree in business, finance or related field OR combination of experience, education, and training.
• Two (2) years of project management experience in a similar setting.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
• Working with Alaska Native Corporations
• Grants administration and/or grants program/project management.
• Project Management Certification
