Key Responsibilities
- Lead Continuous Improvement: Guide kaizen teams in enhancing safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, delivery, and 5S practices.
- Optimize Staffing: Conduct time study analyses to establish standard work and identify gaps between optimal and actual staffing levels.
- Standardize Processes: Create and maintain standard work for all production cells.
- Promote 5S: Drive efforts to improve and sustain 5S practices.
- Audit and Improve: Regularly audit standard work for compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Visualize Improvement: Develop value stream maps to identify areas for enhancement and create future state maps.
- Problem-Solving Support: Collaborate with group leaders and teams to identify root causes and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Implement Kanban Systems: Assist in the implementation of kanban systems.
- Hands-On Learning: Occasionally work on the shop floor to understand jobs and address workload demands.
- Database Management: Maintain the standard work database.
- Facilitate Change: Not only lead but also facilitate the implementation of improvement opportunities in the production area.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Lean Knowledge: Familiarity with lean principles and leading lean initiatives is a plus.
- Desire to Learn: A strong desire to learn more about Lean Manufacturing and MPS.
- Engineering Experience: Engineering and ACAD experience are advantageous.
- Self-motivation: Ability to manage multiple priorities with self-motivation.
- Safety Awareness: Observance of safety rules.
- Reliable: Strong attendance record.
- Standard Work Understanding: Understanding of standard work practices.
- Time Studies: Experience in conducting time studies.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments.
- Computer Proficiency: Good Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word skills.
- Independence: Self-directed with minimal supervision required.
