Terracon is seeking and Asbestos and Industrial Hygiene Technician to join our team in San Diego, CA. This position would be part of a very skilled team that performs airborne chemical monitoring, noise monitoring, indoor air quality surveys, asbestos and lead based paint surveys, safety audits, and other activities. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and personable individual with an eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a desire to be part of a growing and high-performing team. Job Description:
This position will be primarily based in Colton, CA and provide support for projects in Los Angeles County, Orange County and San Diego County, as needed.
You will conduct initial building inspections, asbestos and lead abatement oversight and assist project managers with industrial hygiene inspections. You will evaluate sampling results and prepare risk assessment reports and develop recommendations to correct and improve the environment. In addition, you will support in environmental services such as Phase I Assessments, Limited Site Investigations, and regulatory compliance, as needed.
