 Automotive Accounting Assistant

The position performs a variety of accounting and clerical support tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, new vehicle inventory, dealer trades and daily deposit. This includes compiling and maintaining accounting records, reconciling vendor statements for monthly vendor check run, following up on accounts receivable related tasks, processing the daily deposit and dealer trades. The ideal candidate must have EXTENSIVE Automotive Accounting experience, be detail-oriented, understand accounting and proficient with accounting software and with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Analyze flooring payments, research duplicate billings, and adjustments to correctly apply and clear open invoices.
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements against items posted in accounting and follow up on differences and process monthly vendor check run.
• Prepare Board Meeting, EOM, Weekly Manager, Daily Doc, MIS Reports.
• Process Daily ACH Funding.
• Post Payroll postings, Payroll Cash Clearing and accrued commissions.
• Perform monthly, quarterly month end Flooring reconciliations and reports.
• Maintain clean accurate accounting schedules and reconciliations for Holdback, Wholesale Reserve, LDMC, Covenant, DBS Bonuses, LCCD Vehicles, and New and Used Flooring.
• EBay Weekly Postings.
• Provide administrative support to management, other departments and coworkers as needed.
• Process Service Drive Contracts.
