The role of Host must be professional, dependable, enthusiastic, and friendly. This position requires commitment to high-quality fine dining and the Guest experience. It will be critical to successfully promote and represent the Christopher’s and Wrigley Mansion brands.

Shift availability: Tuesday - Saturday afternoons and early evenings.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences Guests.
• Communicate daily reservations by email, phone and in-person.
• Strive to answer every phone call and email promptly and professionally.
• Ensure the first impression a Guest has of Christopher’s through reservation bookings or initial inquiries is positive and informative.
• Understand and maintain a proper amount of reservations to best control the flow of business. Facilitating best practices for the dining room and culinary success.
• Self motivated to finish daily check lists quickly and efficently.
• Stay organized with communication with Guests and passing along messages to event coordinator, general managers, kitchen and other outlets in Wrigley Mansion.
• Commitment to continued knowledge of menus and menu items to help guests needing dietary restriction help and assure confidence that Christopher’s has them taken care of .
• Maintains a dependable work attendance record.
• Help with initial floor set up and assist the team as needed throughout service.
• Welcomes and seats each Guest to Christopher’s with confidence and grace.
• Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

• Experience in hospitality or in working in fast-paced, high volume fine dining is preferred.
• Must have high urgency, high energy, and positive, enthusiastic, self-driven, accountable and dependable.
• Have an excellent eye for detail.
• Must possess excellent guest service skills, strong telephone etiquette, and be a self-starter with the ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of Guests and fellow team members.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Full time, Tuesday to Saturday with hours typically between 12-8pm. Flexibility for event days and times are appreciated.
