Opportunity OverviewAt SafeSend, we are automating the tax and accounting profession with innovative, emerging technologies. We help accounting firms and tax practitioners work more efficiently and better serve their clients.
As Head of Partnerships, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic partnerships and owning a channel strategy that delivers value to our customers in the tax and accounting profession. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening our network of partners, fostering collaborative relationships, and creating new value-added solutions for our customers. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, business development acumen, product development understanding, and relationship management skills to drive growth and innovation.
This is a remote role reporting to the EVP of Marketing.
Key responsibilities. Partnership Development (60%)
  • Identify, develop, and nurture strategic partnerships with key tax and accounting vendors such as Thompson Reuters, Intuit, and Wolters Kluwer to enhance SafeSend's offering.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, serving as the primary point of contact and driving collaboration to achieve mutual business objectives.
  • Build and maintain cross functional operating model between SafeSend and key partners (including joint go-to-market plans, product roadmap development and executive relationship management).
  • Identify, assess, and nurture new channel opportunities via integrations, revenue share models, marketplace, etc.
  • Define and execute against partner specific product and marketing roadmaps.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with partners, ensuring favorable terms and mutually beneficial agreements that align with SafeSend's business objectives.
  • Expert-level management of OKRS or KPIs relating to high volume lead, pipeline and win generation from a channel strategy with the ability to drive decision making based on key data points such as conversion rates, volumes, ROI.
Strategic Planning and Analysis (20%)
  • Develop and execute partnership strategies aligned with SafeSend's business objectives, driving revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market expansion.
  • Accountable for increasing insights into TAM and SAM models based on strategic partnerships.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and the competitive landscape; leverage insights to inform partnership strategies and decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of partnership initiatives and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
Leadership (20%)
  • As a key member of SafeSend's extended leadership team, serve as a role model for others in the organization and actively contribute across functional topics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of partnership initiatives and alignment with company goals.
  • Internally communicate current partnership health, progress, and approach to a results-driven channel strategy.
Who you are.
  • You have 10 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or strategic alliances in the technology industry with a proven track record of success.
  • You have a strong interest in and understanding of product development, including APIs / integrations, open ecosystems, etc.
  • You are an excellent communicator and have strong negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • You seek out opportunities to dive into unfamiliar challenges, drive towards outcomes, and shape strategy.
  • You seek an environment that fosters individual growth through open feedback and high autonomy.
