**Description**

Responsibilities:

* Provide direction to all technicians in the maintenance shop assigned. Ensure that all repair and maintenance work is performed. Oversee the planning and scheduling of all repair work to increase productivity. Monitor the shops operational performance and efficiency and take action to redirect the activities as appropriate.

* Manage the Preventive Maintenance Program to ensure all PMs are completed on schedule.

* Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet

* Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles

* Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems to manage advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions of our equipment and vehicles used by the company, on site and on the road.

* Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed

* Managing vehicle licensure and registration

* Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency

* Perform Random inspection of equipment.

* Ensure full OSHA and DOT Compliance for equipment and facility maintenance.

* Understand, maintain, and implement proper safety procedures. Ensure the facility has established and maintain the safety parameters as defined in the Parkland Policy and Employee Manual.

* Identify trends in Road Calls and breakdowns. Control maintenance costs relating to personnel, purchasing, and outsourcing of repairs.

* Oversee any repairs that must be completed through a third party and ensure all work is properly completed. Make sure all warranty is identified.

* Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems to manage advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions of our equipment and vehicles used by the company, on site and on the road.

* Maintaining and completing accurate records.

* Manage Lytx program (telematics software) and RTA (maintenance software)

* Oversees and coordinates all activities performed by staff related to the issuance and disposal of vehicles and equipment to include titles, licenses, inspections and vehicle data entry.

* Coordinates equipment requirements or shortages, problems.

* Monitors and evaluates improvements to equipment and initiates modifications.

* Receives, approves and processes invoices for payment.

* Pull repair & maintenance R&M reports.

* Process insurance claims

* HVUT

* Manage relationships with selected key suppliers

* Design and implement standardization of purchasing practices with suppliers

* Help resolve inventory issues and work with key suppliers to maintain business continuity.

* Develop backup supplier relationships for Ridgeline products

* Manage internal and external relationships, including suppliers, carriers, inventory managers, and finance personnel

* Help manage and drive operational improvement efforts, including managing staff hours, ensuring appropriate staffing requirements, managing warehouse space utilization, managing operational costs, etc.

* Drive Continuous Improvement culture - lead Continuous Improvement initiatives across the Southeast ROC, including driving key performance initiatives, metrics, and goals, mentoring and training team members, and championing projects

* Drive initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence.

* Champion a culture of safety, development, change management and continuous improvement within our warehouses.

* Work with Management Team on financial planning & performance activities, including budget planning, financial reviews, cost control initiatives, forecasting, and other lubricant supply-related goals and initiatives.

* Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting with the development of long range and annual plans, and with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans.

* Mentor, train and develop fleet staff for progression and learning (cross-training)

* Assign or delegate responsibilities to employees. Evaluate and manage staff performance. Coach, mentor, and discipline staff. Manage internal staff relations.

* Ability to lead, drive change, & influence others - positive mindset, Can do attitude, creative problem solving, quick issue resolution, ability to lead with humility

* Promotes and manages a positive and productive work environment working with the management team to provide clear communications and fair and timely evaluations of all staff.

* Employee must demonstrate safe work and risk management practices. Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues. Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with Parkland USAs policy and procedure.

* Promotes the organization to the industry, trade associations, and local officials.

* Hire, train, and help manage a team of direct reports, which may include office employees, warehouse employees, drivers, & other staff.

* Plan, develop and implement organizational policies and goals.

* Follow and enforce all Parkland USAs policies and established procedures.

* Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored are maintained.

* Employee is expected to set priorities and meet deadlines. Employee is responsible for planning and carrying out assignments, resolving conflicts that arise, informing and coordinating with others as expected. Employee is accountable for ensuring the accuracy of their work and maintaining good working relations, both internal and external to Parkland USA. Self-direction and motivation are also expected.

* Must meet performance expectations. Must complete all duties as assigned

Qualification:

* Fleet management & transportation experience desired

* Fuel/lubricant experience preferred

* Knowledge of vehicle body systems, including hydraulics, after treatment, electrical and pumping systems to manage the maintenance and repair the vehicles.

* Experience with preventative maintenance and long-term asset planning.

* Understanding of safety rules and procedures and ability to instill safe work practices.

* Strong knowledge of DOT and OSHA compliance.

* Engine chassis repair and maintenance.

* Ability to make independent investigations and exercise analytical judgement in recommending changes in vehicle and equipment specifications.

* Ability to coordinate the receipt, preparation and issue of vehicles and equipment.

* Ability to prepare equipment specifications, bids and contracts.

* Experience with Record keeping and proper regulatory reporting

* Knowledge of general automotive principles.

* Knowledge of principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.

* Experience with Lytx and RTA desired

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office & logistics technology platforms and systems

* Management experience

* Strong analytical skills and the ability to recognize opportunities to improve the business results and/or profitability

* Proven skills in business and financial management

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress, and crisis situations

* A minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, and evaluation
