Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Fundraising to lead our efforts in securing financial support for our mission. The Director of Fundraising will play a pivotal role in advancing our fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors and partners, and implementing initiatives to drive revenue growth. This individual will work closely with the CEO to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans that align with our organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to support the financial sustainability and growth of the organization.

- Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and other potential funding sources.

- Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage donors and raise awareness of our mission.

- Marketing and communications: Develop compelling fundraising materials, including appeals, grant proposals, and donor communications.

- Provide leadership and guidance to the executive team; including setting fundraising & marketing goals, and managing budgets.

- Research and stay informed about funding trends, grant opportunities, and best practices in the nonprofit sector.

- Build and maintain a donor database to track donor interactions, contributions, and relationships.

- Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and community meetings to promote our mission and fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or related field, with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts, grants, and sponsorships.

- Strong understanding of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices, particularly in the nonprofit sector.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire donors, volunteers, and stakeholders.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies to achieve organizational objectives.

- Proficiency in donor management software, Neon a plus, and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

- Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($85,000-$105,000)
