What are we looking for in our Pricing Operations Analyst?

A multinational computer software company is looking to hire a Pricing Operations Analyst!

Contract: 6 months

Location: San Jose, CA

Pay: $40-50/hourly depending on experience

As a member of the Volume and Scale Pricing Frameworks Team, you will play a key role in supporting the business decisions for the companies fastest growing portfolio of products. In this role, you will support Pricing Operation managers and leadership in core functions related to SKU creation and pricing while optimizing standard processes with a focus on scalable documentation. Key goals for this role would be to focus on execution of the operational tasks required, while collaborating with internal teams, including product/technical operations, revenue accounting, sales operations, legal counsel, customer care, and others to solve business problems, knock down operational barriers, and improve process efficiencies/effectiveness. This role will also focus heavily on project management in addition to building and documenting repeatable processes to ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Pricing Operations team and other stakeholders to increase launch velocity, reduce the overall end-to-end timeline and boost launch volume.
  • Coordinate and support operational aspects of the Volume and Scale product lifecycle, including SKU creation, facilitation of approvals for business strategy and pricing requests.
  • Perform audits related to the standard launch process.
  • Project planning to implement business decisions, including key milestones, and drive progress to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Work cross-functionally and effectively communicate to all upstream/downstream stakeholders, to ensure understanding of strategy, project plan, and impacts.
  • Document cross-functional process improvement and adoption of best practices (processes, tools) to improve overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of system and process documentation.
  • Ad hoc operational requests including reporting and auditing of SKU and Pricing files to support product launches.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in an operational role, prioritizing and managing projects, with accuracy and diligence.
  • Strong Visual Basic (VBA) and MS Excel development skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and fluency with Excel, Workfront, Confluence/Wiki, SAP, SharePoint required.
  • Experience driving processes, and consistently meeting established key milestones.
  • Strong process analysis skills to identify opportunities for optimization, design solution, and define implementation plan.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to research and identify issues, root cause, and proposed resolution.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, analytical skills and auditing experience required.
  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience creating training documentation/curriculum a plus.
  • Bachelors Degree Required
