Bonsai Paper Co. is on a mission to create and support meaningful connections through heartfelt and luxury forms of social expression. We are searching for a dynamic, driven individual to join our marketing team in the eCommerce Assistant position. In this hybrid role, you will work partly on-site and the remaining amount at a location of your discretion. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll have the opportunity to support the operation and growth of our online retail platform. This role is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to gain operational/inventory experience as an entry level associate or those transitioning from retail roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day management of our e-commerce website, including product listings, pricing updates, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with the CEO and marketing assistant to create engaging product descriptions, visuals, and promotional materials for online campaigns.
• Monitor website performance metrics and analytics to identify areas for improvement and optimize the user experience.
• Respond to customer inquiries and feedback promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will own the customer service email and phone line, providing timely and helpful responses.
• Assist in the implementation of SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic to the website.
• Support the planning and execution of eCommerce initiatives, such as product launches, sales events, and special promotions.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in eCommerce, bringing fresh ideas and insights to the team.
• Help coordinate with external partners, such as shipping carriers and payment processors, to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry, reporting, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics, and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Enthusiasm for learning and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in e-commerce, retail, or customer service is a plus but not required.
• Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility is a plus.
