Overview

i3 is seeking an Accountant to join our Accounts Receivable team. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment performing a variety of accounts receivable tasks and support financial analysis activities as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly billings, which includes processing invoices submitted from subcontractors.
• Assist with month-end closing (perform account reconciliations / AR aging / monthly reports)
• Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
• Record and maintain billing and contract documents in the accounting system, maintain billing procedures.
• Prepare and enter journal entries, cash receipts, bank deposits and reconciliations.
• Validate revenue calculations in the accounting system.
• Generate and review AR aging to ensure compliance.
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
• Process annual rate adjustment invoices
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries.

Qualifications

Successful candidates should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum One (1) to Two (2) years applicable government contract accounting / Deltek Costpoint experience highly preferred
• Preferred knowledge of WAWF government payment system
• Must have strong PC skills and be proficient with Excel, Word, etc
• Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Hard-working, self-motivated and possess a positive attitude.
• Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to perform effectively within aggressive deadlines with minimum supervision and be persistent in follow-through.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interface effectively inside and outside the department, as required.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
