Weyerhaeuser is Hiring a Storeroom Manager Near Cottage Grove, OR

Description

Weyerhaeuser has an immediate opening for a Storeroom Manager for our Cottage Grove, OR Lumber facility. As a Storeroom Manager, you will support the maintenance and operations teams to facilitate and improve the storeroom system and functions. Success in this role depends on interpersonal skills to work alongside a variety of teams, as well as a detail-oriented mindset to assure accuracy in daily tasks. In this role, you will also lead the storeroom team to achieve and streamline department specific mill and business goals.

Key Functions:

  • Support maintenance and operations with day – to – day parts and consumable needs.
  • Participate in maintenance planning to ensure parts are available when required.
  • Maintain a close business relationship with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate turnaround on orders & shipments.
  • Daily tasks include parts receiving, inspection, restocking, issuing, kitting, organizing, sourcing, ordering, shipping, taking inventory and parts obsolescence.
  • Document and file receiving, shipping and other records.
  • Continuous improvement to storeroom organization, count accuracy and process flow.
  • Assist in training employees how to find and identify specific parts.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized and environmentally responsible workplace.
  • Support the mill as an active cost team member – maximizing efficiencies and securing the best cost structure available.
  • Work with maintenance and procurement teams to meet delivery commitments as well as identifying alternative sources of supply during breakdown events.
  • Lead and supervise 1-3 hourly storeroom employees.

Qualifications

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial work environment experience (or 3 years of direct storeroom experience)
  • Commitment to safe work behaviors and strive to follow all company and legal guidelines.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft office & database software experience)
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills, and the ability to perform with minimum supervision.
  • Able to perform essential functions in an industrial environment such as lifting up to 20lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally, climbing steps/ladders, working from heights, standing/walking for 2-3hrs at a time, working in dusty/noisy equipment while wearing all PPE.
  • Strong independent problem solving and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lumber manufacturing experience
  • CMMS / Maintenance database experience such as SAP
  • Working knowledge of business & financial concepts
  • Experience in storeroom coordination, purchasing, receiving, and/or inventory management

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $61,000 - $91,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours
