Motion Recruitment is Hiring a Splunk Administrator Near Costa Mesa, CA
Our client, a global information services company that uses data, analytics, and technology to help consumers and businesses is looking for someone to join their team as a remote Systems Administrator.
In this role, you will be a member of the SRE team. This Splunk ITSI position will be responsible for enhancing the implementation of Splunk ITSI monitoring by leveraging its machine learning capabilities for alerting, implementing best practices and educating the team.
**This is a 5-month contract**
What You Will Be Doing
- Assess existing Splunk ITSI implementation while educating team and implementing best practices.
- Implement monitoring and alerting for services at scale leveraging Splunk ITSI's automation and machine learning capabilities.
- Increase awareness of service health using Splunk capabilities and industry practices like dashboard storytelling.
Required Skills
- Deep understanding of Splunk ITSI, including the use of Service Analyzer, Glass Tables, service templates and relationships, to effectively communicate service health.
- Experience configuring Adaptive Thresholding and Anomaly Detection to manage alerting of services at scale.
- Experience configuring Notable Events and Multi-KPI Alerts.
- Knowledgeable in tuning queries to optimize performance.
- Organized and methodical with a desire to document and share.
- Prior successful experience as a developer, systems engineer or site reliability engineer.
- Demonstrated experience working in large, complex systems environments.
- Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
