ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following in additional to the duties of the Customs Entry Specialist. Other duties may be assigned.
- Receives import files to clear through Customs
- Ensure import clearance files are compliant with US Customs regulations.
- Resolve and Communicate clearance issues with internal team members and with customers.
- Prioritize shipments based on ETA or other factors
- Process customs bonds as needed.
- Communicate entry release.
- Ensure each file is invoiced correctly.
- Help identify areas that need improvement
- Assist with new customer implementation.
- Stays up to date with current regulations with US Customs.
