Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Business Affairs at a creative agency/digital shop and/or
  television/film production.
• MUST have a strong understanding and knowledge of SAG-AFTRA guidelines, requirements,
  agreements and negotiations
• Must be self-motivated, proactive, organized and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment
  with tight deadlines
• Should have exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, patience and great overall
  attitude
• Proven track record with negotiating talent contracts for both overscale talent and low budget
  digital waivers
• Must have a strong ability and passion for educating and mentoring all levels of employees on
  matters related to Business Affairs
• Experience with risk assessments in connection with productions and contract concerns
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of reviewing and negotiating vendor terms and
  conditions, production agreements and insurance coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide Producers and Account teams with accurate estimates for talent session fees, residuals,
  and all other talent related production costs
• Conduct top line trademark/IP searches for proposed taglines, branding, design, etc.
• Draft/review/negotiate and manage talent contracts and releases
• Track talent usage expirations and renegotiate/reinstate talent agreements
• Report traffic instructions to talent paymaster for talent residual payments
• Partner with Senior Managers, production leads and legal counsel to resolve any liability issues
  within assigned production, creating viable and workable solutions
• Create production award documents including production agreements, insurance coverage and
  talent mandatories
• Review scripts and creative concepts for possible third-party clearances, licensing, intellectual
  property concerns and provide watch outs
• Issue purchase orders, facilitate invoice approvals, payments and job actualization
• Work with Producers, Account Management and Finance to reconcile jobs for final billing
• Negotiate and execute music artist & publishing licenses
