Position: Commodity Buyer
Duration: Permanent Opportunity
Location: Middle River, MD
Fully Onsite
Core Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Est.
Salary: $60,000 - $85,000
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience in Supply Chain OR 5 years of experience in Supply Chain
- Experience sourcing in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace
- In depth knowledge of buying a specific material – what vendors to use, amount to purchase, timeline of production
- Experience coordinating with multiple business units and assisting in purchasing based on their needs
- Experience using an ERP system, preferably SAP
Pluss:
- Experience buying metals o metallics
Day to Day:
A client of Insight Global is looking for 3 Purchasing Agents to sit onsite in Middle River, MD. They will start their day with a meeting going over all purchasing needs. They are assigned 12-15 suppliers to contact and check in on orders and resolve any issues with suppliers. They will work with multiple business units to assist in determining the purchasing needs of each time. They will utilize SAP to track all of their orders.
