The Position:
Chameleon Integrated Services is currently looking for a Test Automation Architect who is well-versed in software test engineering for legacy mainframe computing and for modern cloud computing applications.
Overview:
The Test Automation Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing automation frameworks and strategies and ensuring the quality of customer software through rigorous testing. They will support the automation of manually executed tests, including automation of all regression testing and building tools to support testing more frequently and efficiently.
The Test Automation Architect must have experience working on a team dedicated to Software Test Engineering, Performance Test Engineering, and Test Automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, CI/CD methodologies, and automated testing.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement test automation solutions and strategies that support rapid software development.
Integrate automated testing into customer CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality & reliability.
Utilize GitHub for version control and code review processes.
Use Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.
Collaborate with the development team to understand the software features and requirements for effective test case development.
Provide guidance and support to the development team on automation best practices.
Continually research and implement modern technologies and tools to optimize our automation strategies.
Education & Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree
3 years in Test Automation Architect or similar role.
10 years in software development and/or quality assurance.
Certs Required:
Certified Project and/or Program Manager
Certs Preferred:
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Collaboration Tools: Jira, Confluence, Mural, Slack, Outlook.
Experience working with Mainframe systems.
