Crescent Communications is Hiring a Community Services Manager Near Marion, IN

DescriptionAre you ready to lead and empower individuals in our community towards greater independence and opportunity? Join us at Carey Services as our new Community Services Manager and play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating our Agency Transportation Functions, Employment Services, and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Program. In this position, you will be responsible for budget preparation, monitoring, and maintenance for these essential programs, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively to serve our community's needs.
Specific Job DutiesDurable Medical Equipment -
  • Expertise in DME: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment principles, including maintenance and repair procedures in compliance with company policies and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Customer Relations: Receive and track customer inquiries, managing inventory with specialized software, and providing assistance in the cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance of DME.
  • Delivery Coordination: Oversee the delivery process of DME utilizing company vehicles, ensuring customers receive proper education on the safe usage and maintenance of delivered items.
  • Privacy Compliance: Safeguard customers' Protected Health Information (PHI) in adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with both customers and medical supply personnel, ensuring seamless communication and quality service provision.
Transportation -
  • Program Oversight: Provide leadership and training for transportation staff, coordinating schedules, and overseeing vehicle maintenance to ensure safe and reliable transportation services.
  • Grant Management: Manage the 5310-grant program, including coordination, monitoring, and reporting to ensure compliance and accountability.
  • Insurance Claims: Prepare and process insurance claims for agency vehicles and property, ensuring quick and efficient processing to minimize disruptions in service delivery.
Employment Services -
  • Case Management: Collaborate with relevant agencies and internal stakeholders to facilitate the enrollment of clients into employment services, ensuring comprehensive support and job placement opportunities.
  • Community Outreach: Develop and implement strategies for outreach to the community, fostering partnerships and identifying available support and job opportunities for clients.
  • Program Compliance: Maintain compliance with relevant standards and regulations, documenting and reporting program activities accurately and timely to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Experience working in the field of developmental disabilities with experience in a job placement and related vocational training preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet agency insurability requirements. At least two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Basic maintenance skills. Needs to know basic first aid, CPR, defensive driving, and behavioral management techniques - agency will provide training. Must successfully complete all training requirements of agency. Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment usage. General knowledge of IOSHA regulations, CARF standards, DDRS, and INDOT requirements.
  • Skills and Abilities: Organizational skills. Accurate record-keeping. Computer knowledge. Good driving record. Adaptability and Flexibility, Teamwork, Communication (written and oral), Initiative, Judgment, Planning and Organization, and Problem solving and safety conscious.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, walk, bend, stoop, drive or stand for long periods of time and be able to lift various weights. Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to: gloves, masks, gowns, face shields, shoes, ear plugs, etc. Must be able to follow all required safe and universal precaution practices during a pandemic and as required otherwise.
