Established in 1970, Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo is a non-profit organization and dedicated partner of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo that exists to raise philanthropic support for and public awareness of the zoo. We are resourceful, passionate, and dedicated about what we do. The Friends and the Rosamond Gifford share a joint mission of connecting people with the natural world by providing engaging guest experiences, exceptional animal care and unparalleled conservation education. - Demonstrates exceptional guest service skills.
- Operates cash register ensuring accuracy when making change.
- Seeks to provide a memorable experience in all guest interaction opportunities, culminating in the “Best Day Ever” for our guests.
- Is responsive to guests questions regarding food items, prices, methods of preparation, items on sale and availability of food and beverage products.
- Ensures that assigned area is kept orderly and continually cleans and sanitizes counter in designated areas.
- Ensures proper procedures are followed when working with food and cooking equipment.
- Prepares various products and ensures that the proper maintenance for the equipment is completed.
- Assists with cleanup service when needed.
- Accepts food orders and delivers food to guests in a timely manner.
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be able to speak English.
- Previous Food & Beverage or any type of guest service experience a plus.
- Must take PRIDE in the workspace and thrive in a team environment.
- Safety oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
