POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Director of Enrollment

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

This position is: Full time

FLSA Status: Exempt

About the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence: The Catholic Schools Center of Excellence (CSCOE or the Organization) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been in existence since 2015. CSCOE has a two-fold mission: to enhance excellence and increase enrollment in Catholic preschool through eighth grade schools. When formed in 2015, CSCOE’s support focused on schools within the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Having demonstrated success within the Archdiocese, CSCOE’s focus broadened in 2022 to encompass all of Minnesota. Potentially unlimited growth beyond Minnesota is projected for the future.

Purpose of Position:  The Director of Enrollment is the focal point for one of the Organization’s primary missions: increasing enrollment in Catholic prek through eighth grade schools. Given that the organization plans to expand beyond its current geographic reach, it must be scalable to a national level. All roles must heavily leverage advanced technology, especially AI, to do much more for far less in the shortest amount of time possible.

Duties and responsilities:

The Director of Enrollment will:

1. Develop, implement, and manage marketing and enrollment initiatives both system-wide and tailored to the specific needs of individual schools.

2. Leverage technology to a high degree, including but not limited to expertise in: engineering AI prompts, Canva, Salesforce (getting data in and out, producing reports, designing forms, etc.), ThinkCell a plus (PowerPoint) for reporting on results, etc.

3. Have a working knowledge of current social media venues and demonstrate the ability to effectively utilize social media to reach the Organization’s target market.

4. Convene, facilitate and train the “Admissions and Marketing Squad,” a cohort of enrollment managers representing the schools supported by the Organization.

5. Coordinate marketing grant requests and award process.

6. Collect, monitor and manage enrollment and admissions data from schools supported by the Organization.

7. Maintain an up-to-date list of schools coded as to their enrollment status (acceptable, marginal or unacceptable).

8. Work directly (to the extent asked to do so) to develop improvement plans for schools rated marginal or unacceptable.

9. Provide on-call, direct support and expertise to schools in the areas of marketing and enrollment.

10. Determine the need for, design, and guide implementation of promotional initiatives and materials, for example, social media and other ads, billboards, radio, etc.

11. Lead, support and collaborate with the enrollment manager in marketing and enrollment projects and initiatives .

12. Manage initiatives (both system-wide and at individual schools) focused specifically at increasing Latino enrollment.

13. Manage relationships with contractors engaged to support enrollment initiatives.

Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, communications or related field; advanced degree preferred.

2. Three or more years xperience in school admissions and marketing, preferably in a Catholic or private school environment. 

3. Strong commitment to Catholic education and the goals of the Organization.

4. Working knowledge of applicable software, including artificial intelligence (AI).

5. Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite

6. Strong organizational skills and strong ability to manage multiple projects.

7. Excellent writing, editing and verbal communications skills, including public speaking.

Working Conditions

CSCOE exists to promote Catholic education throughout the state of Minnesota and intends to expand beyond its current boundries. CSCOE’s Director of Enrollment is expected to be familiar with and work collaboratively with the individual schools that comprise the Catholic school system. Travel throughout the Organization’s area of responsibility may be required. Flexibility in terms of working hours to accommodate evening and weekend meetings and events will also be required.

Management Responsibilties

The Director of Enrollment will oversee a department of one or more subordinates and will also be expected to oversee the work of vendors, consultants and contractors engaged to support enrollment initiatives.
