Title: IT Consultant

Location: Columbus, OH(Hybrid)

Duration: long term Contract

This is a Part-Time position working 20 hours a week.

• Business Relationship Management – effectively demonstrate learning agility to use and develop business process knowledge and define how technology will be designed to enable it. Use skills and experience to influence strategic direction and future releases.
• Analyze and solve complex technical problems, including advanced data analysis and multiple technologies.
• Use increased business knowledge to appropriately challenge status quo and drive business and IT collaboration.
• Technical Leadership – technical leadership and strategic direction on critical activities in order to achieve business objectives. Define the current and future state of the technology and all applicable integrations. This includes collaboration with architects and other technical professionals for environment setup and management, configuration, and development. In addition, provide technical leadership for analyzing future project ideas and their estimated business value.
• Anticipate, understand, and communicate the implications of technical decisions on the business, applications, and project timelines and influence decisions accordingly.
• Collaborate with Business Consultants to confirm critical business requirements and manage expectations with business partners, as well as contribute to the analysis of future project ideas and their estimated business value.
• This senior level IT Consultant will facilitate meetings and work with state agency leadership and stakeholders to capture, document, review, organize, and analyze business tax filing/wage reporting processes and options to streamline the tax filing/wage reporting processes.
• The IT Consultant will document options, considerations, implications, pros and cons, quick wins, and identify all list of all changes (legislative, process, operational, IT System, agency specific, etc.) necessary for the scope of effort to implement streamlined tax filing/wage reporting within the Ohio Business Gateway.

The outcome of this engagement is to develop comprehensive documentation for state agency leadership and policymakers to consider and decide next steps.

This is a part time engagement with an estimated 6-month (26 week) duration up to 20 hours per week. The number of hours may vary from week to week. All engagement meetings must be conducted during normal business hours.

It is acceptable for the IT Consultant to have other part-time work engagements if they do not present a conflict of interest or hinder work completion. Other work engagements must be disclosed at time of interview.

College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or other relevant field with advanced study or degree preferred.

Previous experience as a decision analyst or equivalent role.

Meeting management skills – ability to drive meeting agenda to achieve desired outcome(s).

Strong verbal communication skills - ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders, -level executives, and agency leadership to cap

Ability to read and interpret Ohio Revised Code, Ohio Administrative Code, state of Ohio tax policies, and other sources related to business payroll

Pay: $91,000.00 - $109,590.00 per year
