Your Role As the Rest Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of the assigned rest area(s). This position serves as a working supervisor over Rest Area Crew Members assigned to their shift. Responsibilities
Assist Rest Area Coordinator with supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Perform and supervise the work of rest area staff in the maintenance of rest area, including rest rooms, lobby areas and surrounding grounds, ensuring contract requirements are met.
Transport staff and equipment between buildings as required. Operate Sertoma vehicles with care and caution and in accordance with all state laws and Sertoma rules, which includes NO SMOKING in vehicles and wearing of seat belts.
Follow all safety rules and regulations as outlined by IDOT.
Conduct routine maintenance of site equipment. Maintain inventory of building and equipment maintenance supplies and notify Coordinator of any needed supplies.
Prepare incident reports to document vandalism, equipment breakdown, accidents/injuries, etc.
Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum of one year related experience or training; some supervision experience preferred.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Valid driver’s license and documentation of current auto insurance, with an acceptable motor vehicle report.
Employee is required to possess the skill and ability to utilize all applicable technology and computer programs related to his/her position.
