We are seeking an Operations Cyber Engineer to join our team. As an Operations Cyber Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying cyber solutions, tools, and platforms that enhance the security and resilience of the Pegasus program’s networks and systems. You will provide technical support and guidance to the Pegasus program’s cyber operators and analysts and collaborate with other team members and external stakeholders on various cyber projects and initiatives. This is an onsite position at Fort Meade, MD.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, test, and deploy cyber solutions, tools, and platforms that meet the Pegasus program’s requirements and specifications
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and performance of the cyber solutions, tools, and platforms, and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or problems that arise during the development and deployment of the cyber solutions, tools, and platforms
Provide technical support and guidance to the Pegasus program’s cyber operators and analysts on the use and maintenance of the cyber solutions, tools, and platforms
Collaborate with other team members and external stakeholders on various cyber projects and initiatives, and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and standards
Conduct research and stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and developments in the cyber domain
CLEARANCE:
Active Secret Clearance
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
3 years of professional experience in cyber engineering, software development, or a similar role
Possess a CompTIA Security and CISSP certification
Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, or C
Knowledgeable in cyber security concepts, principles, and practices, such as encryption, authentication, authorization, and auditing
Familiar with cyber security tools and frameworks, such as Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, or Snort
Experience in working with Linux and Windows operating systems, as well as cloud and virtualization technologies
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Master's degree in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Certifications in cyber security, such as CEH, OSCP, or GSEC
Experience in working with DISA or other DoD clients
Experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying cyber solutions, tools, and platforms for DISA or other DoD clients
Experience in conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, incident response, and forensic analysis
