Description

The Delivery Supervisor will be responsible for managing the delivery function for the assigned territory. This individual will manage the route support team and delivery driver – trainee’s as well as back up dispatching to maximize merchandising and delivery efficiency to all customer accounts.

Essential Job Functions:

• This position is considered safety sensitive due to the required operation of motor vehicles. Safe motor vehicle operation requires a constant state of alertness and awareness of the surroundings at all times.
• Attract, retain, and develop effective Delivery Merchandiser – Trainee’s and Route Support Merchandisers to ensure an efficient, motivated, and skilled workforce
• Improve and monitor delivery indicators to ensure delivery and merchandising expectations are executed
• Utilize tools (eoStar, Margin Minder, etc.) to evaluate and identify routing efficiency opportunities
• Consistent follow up through route rides to ensure that company quality and merchandising standards are met
• Foster an atmosphere where safety is a priority with an emphasis on protecting company assets
• Foster relationship with account personnel and provide superior customer service to all accounts serviced
• Perform various duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License for your state of residency and adhere to driver qualification program. (Motor Vehicle Report will be reviewed)
• Previous Distribution/Merchandising experience is preferred
• 2 years of leadership, management, or supervising experience
• Ability to deliver product and service routes if necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Must have excellent communication, prioritizing, and organizational skills
• Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity
