School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates for an in person middle school science teacher for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. This teacher is expected to foster a faith-filled, Catholic learning environment which recognizes the dignity of each person while having the skill and expertise to align, plan and implement instruction according to the Archdiocesan curriculum.

Essential Functions

• Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines.
• Provide grade appropriate instructional program.
• Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management using PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) protocols.
• Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students.
• Establish reasonable standards for student achievement, updating electronic gradebook frequently.
• Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic and timely manner.
• Participate in faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities.
• Participate in the active supervision of students at all times to include arrival/dismissal, car line, recess, Cafeteria, etc.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration.
• Integrate iPad and Smartboard technology effectively into a 21st Century classroom.

Position Qualifications

• Degree in Education, science background preferred
• Current MSDE certification
• Minimum of three years of experience teaching preferred
• Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
• Must be comfortable with technology to include GSuite, Google Classroom, Smartboards, etc.
• Must have a commitment to Catholic School education
