Production Control Coordinator I

Job Description:

Performs clerical tasks that support production and ensures the efficient flow of materials required by the production schedule. Monitors the inventory of parts, components and raw materials, controls work in process and coordinates with Production, Planning, Stockroom, Engineering and Contracts to maximize the output from the site. Tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains multiple production Key Process Indicator Data. Responsible for executing the Production Schedule, identifying capacity issues, generates work orders, performs scrap adjustments in MRP, monitors actual versus standard labor hours in production, escalates issues that will impact schedules or output to the Planning Department or through the TIER meeting process. Tracks and expedites material shortages throughout production. Makes recommendations to Production, Planning and Operations Management regarding the most effective use of resources in effecting the production plan. Reports to production planner.

• Bill of Material changes, Work order creation and management 
• Institute and manage work in process control techniques.
• Materials Planning
• Shipping planning and reporting
• Control of Production work order packages
• Creating Daily production schedule
• Conduct Production Meetings
• Internal Capacity Management
• Contribute to Line Back logistics improvements.
• On time delivery reports
• MRP maintenance

Skill requirements:

• Works under the close direction of a senior personnel in the functional area. 
• Possesses a moderate understanding of a general aspects of the job. 
• May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
• Must be a US Citizen.
