Principal Responsibility

The Senior Associate will perform detailed analysis of health and substance use recovery data. As part of the Learning and Evaluation (L&E) team, you will work to strengthen St. Anthony’s capacity to better understand guest needs, provide relevant and evidence-based interventions, and measure the outcomes of our programs in the community. As the Senior Associate, you will ensure the ongoing utilization of the guest databases, lead the analysis and reporting of health services data, as well as analyze and report on other service data to various stakeholders as needed. As a steward of healing and social justice, you are expected to meet the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Program Administration and Operations

  • Use and visualize data to proactively identify program and/or data quality issues with a primary focus on and support to our health services team, while also assisting other services as needed. Responsible for developing programmatic solutions to address quality issues, and implementing those solutions.
  • Create, prepare, and write internal and external reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis (or as needed) and assist with the conception, development, creation, and testing of custom data reporting.
  • Assist in the research, development, and benchmarking of program outputs and outcomes; contextualize analysis with community-level data and/or literature.
  • Train staff to effectively utilize the data collection system, answer staff questions, offer support, and respond to requests as needed. Includes both initial and follow-up training as needed. Create and maintain training curriculum.
  • Maintain database with ongoing quality assurance to ensure integrity of data, timeliness, and efficacy of collection.
  • Assist in research of industry standards on program assessments, service utilization, and data collection.
  • Write and administer surveys to guests, staff, and volunteers.
  • Develop innovative ways to share data in communication and social media efforts.
  • Attend ongoing trainings to stay up to date on current and new outcome measurement tools, outcome management, and Salesforce and Epic features and functionalities that SAF could utilize.
  • Complete reports and all other paperwork on time; records and files are kept secure and organized.
  • Participate in regular training and development opportunities to increase personal capacity to apply innovative approaches to daily workflows and guest engagement.
  • Understand and follow the organization's programs, policies, and procedures.

Teamwork 

  • Support all St. Anthony programs by completing various data entry and reporting needs as requested by L&E Manager.
  • Promote a culture of learning and reflection among staff by attending staff meetings and presenting data as needed or requested.
  • Participate in relevant meetings supporting team communication and the program's capacity to fulfill organizational goals and mission.
  • Collaboratively works with others to achieve team success.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-3 years performing data analysis, measuring progress toward goals, or evaluating programs, preferably at a non-profit.
  • Comfortable analyzing and interpreting results from datasets with varying levels of cleanliness.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint; Excellent Excel skills, including ability to use formulas in Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse educational backgrounds with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Ability to handle confidential information, requiring tact, discretion, think critically, and practice sound judgement when problem solving.
  • Customer-service oriented, passionate about their work.
  • Able to take initiative and work independently, as well as perform as a team player.

Desired Experience

  • Experience using Salesforce or being a Salesforce Administrator
  • Experience using Epic or SAP Business Objects for data analysis
  • Experience working with electronic health records
  • Survey writing or survey administration
  • Verbally proficient in Spanish or Cantonese, or other language
  • Experience working with our guest population or has lived experience
  • Experience with data collection and analysis tools such as SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, Tableau, PowerBI, R, SPSS, or STATA
