Job Title: Production Supervisor Reports To: Production Group Leader

Location: Rossford Assembly Department: Production

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example
• Ensure product quality meets internal and external specifications
• Maintain and operate equipment following procedures and best practices as defined in the control plan
• Drive consistency across all three shifts in Assembly.
• Audit shift paperwork / documentation to ensure it is completed and accurate
• Conduct process and product audits according to the work instructions
• Turn around any set asides and hold activity in a timely manner
• Communicate concerns, improvements and general information to the management team
• Troubleshooting and problem solving of manufacturing problems in the operations.
• Provide support to the process improver and line leader in pursuit of continuous improvement.
• Actively participate in area problem solving teams and other groups as necessary to achieve production goals.
• Check inventories and schedule. Plans and communicates production needs to the team leaders to ensure all production requirements are met and insure a good pass down before each shift.
• Provide training and guidance/direction to team members according to procedures and best practices to achieve short and long-term goals.
• Coordinate 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness.
• Audit employee time records using time keeping system and correct as needed.
• Administer progressive discipline as needed in compliance with the facility work rules and labor agreement.
• Fulfill assignments/tasks given by Production Group Leader.

Qualifications Required:

• Associates Degree or minimum two years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.
• Self motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Safety and goal oriented.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Demonstrated personal computer skills

Qualifications Desired:

• Bachelors Degree in Business/Organizational Leadership
• 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing.
• Automotive glass experience
