Oklahoma Production Center is Hiring an Executive Director Near Tahlequah, OK

Job Overview:

The Executive Director must be a mature, emotionally stable person able to relate to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and to the goals of this organization. Among the many necessary attributes is the ability to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to our organization while ensuring the highest quality of care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. To complement this effort, they should provide guidance, leadership, and opportunities for professional development for staff members to enhance their skills and capabilities. They should stay informed about best practices, trends, and developments that directly affect developmental disabilities services. He or she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, fundraising, program development, and community outreach. In addition, the Executive Director is responsible to the Executive Board of Directors for the overall planning, programming, and directing of the Oklahoma Production Center. He or she works with the Board to create and implement organizational and operational strategies. As a part of community engagement, they should build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, advocacy organizations, and community leaders to promote awareness and support for our mission.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, social work, business administration, special education, or related fields. A master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, preferably in the field of developmental disabilities or related services.
  • Strong understanding of developmental disabilities, issues, policies, and best practices.
  • A proven track record of successful fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business acumen and a history of providing visionary leadership at the executive level.
  • Familiarity with diverse business functions such as Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resources, and Administration.
  • Incorporates global strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Proficient in financial management, budgeting, and nonprofit administration.
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of organizational work.
  • Must have a working knowledge of U.S. Department of Labor rules and regulations, especially concerning sub-minimum and overtime wages.
  • Maintain membership in professional organizations dedicated to the developmentally disabled. The employer will pay membership fees to appropriate organizations.
