G.M. Industrial, LLC is Hiring a Supply Chain Specialist Near Cleveland, OH
- Develop and implement best-in-class inventory management strategies incorporating reorder point and Kanban lean methodologies.
- Design and implement cost effective processes related to procurement, scheduling, and operations.
- Support ERP system upgrades and enhancements related to supply chain and operations functions.
- Support projects associated with improving working capital and inventory accuracy.
- Lead projects focused on operational objectives including capacity improvement, efficiency improvement, lower costs, etc.
- Identify requesting departments' needs and budgetary requirements, and make recommendations to develop and refine specifications for commodities, supplies, or equipment.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, tracking/managing budget expenses, sourcing, and vendor relationships in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.
- Ability to effectively deploy all sourcing-related policies, procedures and methodologies.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products and other analytical systems/tools.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAGE preferred).
- Strong business acumen, problem-solving abilities, and business partnering skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and process-focused environment, driving for continuous efficiency and improvement.
- Outstanding communication and relationship building skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to take initiative and provide feedback on status of projects, identify obstacles, and offer recommendations on risk mitigation.
