The Project Manager – North America (based in Topeka, Kansas) is responsible for the management of major
projects delineated by the President of North America. The project manager is supported by the Sales, Design
and Logistics team. The Project Manager reports to the President of the company. 

Assignment:
Manage key projects at post order to ensure financial, logistical and customer satisfaction are a success based on
assigned targets.

What you'll do in this role:
Sales / Commercial
 Supporting representatives in technically complex and/or large projects, before, during and after order
placement. An important part of this is direct support through customer visits and/or direct contact with
customers from a distance.
 Supervision of projects after assignment on a technical and/or organizational level. An important part of this is
representing the company during project discussions, construction meetings and during the assembly period.
The project manager "replaces" the representative during the order phase of a project.
 Monitoring project progress on assembly site and managing customer expectations. Part of this includes
ensuring successful delivery of the project, taking care of the remaining items and following up on any
complaints.
 Actively support Sales and try to influence customers to sell additional work on a project or to increase the
margin of a project.
 Support Sales Manager NA – Archives/Libraries/Other on all proposals made greater than $250K or specified.
Project Management
 Assemble and operationally manage a project team (possibly consisting of multiple departments) to achieve
successful bidding and execution of a project.
 Monitor schedule, deadlines, budget, safety, standards and the like.
 Initiate and lead project meetings, with the aim of creating support and monitoring project progress (in
different phases of a project).
 Supervise and monitor the installation of a project by on-site inspection, attending construction meetings and
instructing/directing assembly teams.
 Supervise the project successfully with customer focus and maximizing Delta’s & Bruynzeel's profit margin
Other tasks
 Processing orders by entering various (product) data, such as delivery time, product type, product codes and
quantity. Partly automated, partly manual.
 Critically checking orders (own & of colleagues) to avoid errors deliveries that are detrimental to the customer
and at the expense of the margin.
 Process project data to ensure timely and accurate billing and timely customer payment.

Qualifications:
 Considerable technical affinity
 Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and strong with MS Excel
