ABOUT THE TAX TEAM

TMG's Tax Team manages the comprehensive tax needs of TMG clients. We focus on two major areas:

Our Tax Team aims to provide a long-term home for all team members. We want accountants to join us at any point—directly out of school or with years of experience—and grow their career here. Our goal is never to just fill a seat but to hire individuals who will help us continue to grow TMG long-term.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Tax Operational Associate will report directly to the Senior Director, Tax and assist with executing a wide variety of initiatives to support the team's services to our clients. This role puts our Operational Associates in direct contact with our clients while also making them an integral part of the day to day business of the team.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds the expectations of clients and the Tax Team as a whole
• Assisting with the distribution of tax team deliverables to clients and the filing of client tax obligations
• Creation and maintenance of tax accounts with the TMG CRM
• Managing tax team communication to our clients throughout the year
• Assist with various administrative responsibilities of the Tax Team, and identify and propose technological and process improvements
• Maintenance of invoices and accounts payable reporting
• Assist with tax projects and development of new service offerings for clients, the Tax Team and other departments of TMG
• Ensure professional development through ongoing education

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree required
• 2 – 4 years of administrative experience required
• Previous experience in public accounting or the financial services industry a plus
• High attention to detail
• Strong track record of achievement and meeting/exceeding ambitious targets and deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
