$1,000 Sign-On Bonuses Available for Medical Assistant!

Seeking skilled Medical Assistant to join our busy Cardiology specialty clinic. Candidates who apply must love working in a high-volume clinic and enjoy a challenging environment. We are seeking upbeat professionals who love working with patients and enjoy the field of medicine. The position is for MA in Cardiology at Carondelet Medical Group, St Mary’s Multispecialty, to cover two different NP on alternating weeks.

Responsibilities include:

· Rooming patients

· Prior authorizations on medications

· Working in Athena EMR

· Scheduling appointments

· Assist with referrals

· Submit medication refill requests

· Patient callbacks

· Some traveling to other Clinics (mileage compensated)

· Assists in assessing patient needs and health plan by taking vital signs, history, medication listing, assessing visual acuity, and determining chief complaint. Assesses patients’ physical and mental status.

· Completes all necessary documentation in the patient’s medical record in accordance with the practice’s charting policy.

· Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams, and medical procedures

· Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients and visitors. This includes cleaning, sterilizing, and storing instruments in accordance with practice policies. Stocks rooms in preparation for the daily work schedule. Takes inventory of medical and exam room supplies.

· Assists in checking out patients and answering phones

· and other duties as assigned

Education: High school diploma/GED required with the completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or two years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.

Certification: Medical Assistant preferred (required in some TPR markets) and CPR certification

Experience: Must have a minimum of one year of relevant work experience or two years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program. Preferred 1 year of Cardiology experience.
