Foundations, Inc., a national nonprofit organization located in the metropolitan Philadelphia area, is currently seeking experienced, certified Teachers and Reading Specialists to join our team of tutors to work one-on-one with local Philadelphia students who need your help and support to improve their skills. Teachers will provide assessments, tutoring using research-based materials, and progress monitoring to students in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities may include:

• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions.
• Evaluate students' academic strengths and weaknesses.
• Conduct initial assessments to identify areas that need improvement.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Assist students with completing homework assignments.
• Provide guidance and clarification on concepts covered in class.
• Offer specialized instruction in specific subjects.
• Provide additional explanations and examples to reinforce understanding.
• Teach effective study habits and time management skills.
• Help students develop organizational skills.
• Implement appropriate behavior management techniques.
• Foster a positive and respectful learning environment.
• Provide constructive feedback on assignments and performance.
• Encourage self-reflection and improvement.

• Communicate with parents to provide regular updates on students' performance.

We provide competitive hourly rates and flexible hours (during school hours, after school and Saturdays). Tutoring is provided in-person.
