Responsibilities:
● Act as the primary preparer in month-end and quarter-end close calendar, checklist, and reconciliations
● Take ownership and accountability over the preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, and reports in compliance with US GAAP and relevant reporting standards
● Take ownership and accountability over accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders
● Assist with financial close tools to automate accounting processes where possible
● Assist with and prepare technical accounting areas including ASC 842 and others
● Develop and implement accounting policies as needed by leveraging technical accounting guidance and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to obtain relevant information for several departments and management
● Collaborate with external auditors, prepare audit schedules, and ensure on-time completion of such timelines
● Ensure proper accounting procedures, internal controls, and compliance with accounting policies and regulations,
● Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
● Prepare journal entries
● Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
● Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending

You may be a good fit if you:

● Have 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in startup or high-growth environments with 2 years of experience in a public company
● Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or equivalent preferred
● Exhibit strong organizational and time-management abilities
● Possess a keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
● Are a self-starter able to work independently and meet deadlines
● Have a knack for making accounting processes smooth and effective.
● Can figure stuff out on your own, whether it's from reading or watching tutorials.
● Care more about getting results than just putting in time.
● Are a stickler for details.
● Are energetic, always ready to act, genuine, and not afraid to jump into new things.
