We are about to open a new casual dining restaurant in Bedford NY in the historic Bedford Post Inn. It will be open for breakfast and lunch only.

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner

- Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations on food and beverages

- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen staff

- Serve food and drinks to guests promptly and accurately

- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing any concerns or special requests

- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to increase sales

- Process guest payments using POS system or cash register

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including setting tables and refilling condiments

- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders

- Provide excellent guest service by anticipating needs and exceeding expectations

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Server or in a similar customer service role preferred

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices

- Familiarity with POS systems, OpenTable, or other reservation software is a plus

- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change accurately

- Strong upselling skills to increase sales revenue

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and team members

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of culinary terms, ingredients, and menu items is beneficial but not required

- Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service

- Time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours
