Inventory Specialist
Location: 6999 152nd St West, Apple Valley, MN, 55124
Job Description:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for monitoring inventory levels for the company and pricing. This includes verifying inventory received agreed to invoices and verifying appropriate mark ups are applied. The Inventory Specialist will work closely with the purchasing department to understand workload and upcoming shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory levels and order new inventory when necessary
- Ensure that inventory is properly stored and accounted for
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that inventory levels are aligned with production needs and customer demand
- Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Develop and implement inventory management procedures
- Train and supervise inventory staff
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in inventory management
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
