This position maintains a strong flow of communication throughout all areas of the mountain, and has a strong attention to detail while working independently.Essential Job Functions: Ensuring inter-departmental communications are relayed in a timely and efficient mannerManaging a multi-line switchboard and VHF radiosCoordinating communication and dispatching the proper resources in emergency situationsOnline management of incident reports through 1RiskCollecting and reporting weather data for internal use such as daily mountain reports and external use including Environment Canada, website updates and various media outlets in a timely fashionRecording and reporting daily operations including but not limited to; emergency response, operational changes, transport requests, missing persons and maintenance issuesCoordinating, logging and tracking the transport of goods and patients around the mountainCustomer relations with guests that frequent the officeAssisting management with various office tasks and delegating duties to operations staffMaintaining a clean work environment, assisting with cleaning of staff spacesOther duties as required. Required Qualifications and Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and ExcelKnowledge of 1Risk systems preferredKnowledge of mountain operations, geography of mountain, and facilities of the mountain preferredPrevious multi line switchboard phone & VHF radio experience an assetMust possess great communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and some holidays as required. Working Conditions This position is primarily located inside, but does require travelling through mountain conditions (including possible winter conditions). Dispatcher is required to work early mornings and late nights.
