North Community Counseling Centers, Inc. is searching for qualified and dedicated full-time residential care staff members to provide exceptional in-house care to the clients of our Next Generation Program. We are looking for an individual who will float between 4 residential houses to fill in for scheduled vacations and call offs. This will be a guaranteed 40 hour a week position. The clients within the residential care homes are adults suffering from mental health and substance abuse issues.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the health and safety of our clients
• Administer medications
• Cook healthy meals, per State regulations/guidelines
• Confirm that food is available to coordinate with menus.
• Complete balanced weekly menus for 2 weeks.
• Clean and maintain the office area and common areas of the home.
• Hourly house checks: Being aware of the whereabouts of every resident on the hour.
• Assist residents assigned to you with completion of their ADLs and maintenance of their room.
• Ensure the bathrooms are clean at the end of your shift.
• Ensure the kitchen and dining room areas are clean at the end of your shift, all dishes are put away, tables and counter tops are cleaned off.
• Plan and implement activities.
• Maintain residents schedule for your shift.
• Supervise client medication, charting all incoming medications, coordination with nurse and case manager regarding medication compliance. Behavior documentation
• Incident reports
• Communication logs
• Communicate with co-workers and house managers about concerns or activities completed/need completed throughout the shift
• Maintain required certifications and training
• Monitor medical needs of the individual(s)
• Provide behavioral intervention, as needed
• Serve as a role model of appropriate behavior and social skills in the home and the community
• Conduct additional services requested by our consumer or their service team that may improve their quality of life, health and safety

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid Ohio driver's license with 5 points or less
• Experience working with mental health clients, preferred but not required
• Able to pass a background check and drug test
• CPR Required (we offer training)
